These adorable mummy-wrapped sausages with a tangy honey mustard dip are the perfect savory Halloween party snack. Easy to make with just four main ingredients, they’re a crowd-pleaser that will disappear from the baking sheet.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 24 mini smoked sausages or cocktail wieners
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 24 candy eyes
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Open the can of crescent roll dough and unroll onto a clean cutting board. Separate along perforated lines into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into 3 thin strips (about 1/2 inch wide) to get 24 strips total.
  3. Take one strip of dough and wrap around a mini sausage, starting at one end and working to the other. Leave a small gap (about 1/4 inch) near the top for the eyes. Do not wrap too tightly. Press the end to seal. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Repeat with remaining sausages and dough strips.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and water. Brush each mummy gently with the egg wash.
  5. Press two candy eyes gently into the exposed gap on each mummy before baking.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown and sausages are heated through.
  7. While mummies bake, make the dip: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  8. Let mummies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a platter. Serve warm with mustard dip.

Notes

Keep dough cold for easier handling. Pat sausages dry before wrapping to prevent soggy dough. The mustard dip can be made a day ahead for better flavor. For gluten-free, use gluten-free crescent dough. For a spicier version, add sriracha to the dip or use spicy sausages.
