candy apple halloween cocktail - featured image

A quick and easy Halloween cocktail that tastes just like a candy apple—sweet, tart, and cozy. Made with apple juice, caramel syrup, vodka, and a splash of lemon, it comes together in under 5 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (120 ml) apple juice (100% juice, not from concentrate)
  • 1 oz (30 ml) caramel syrup (e.g., Torani)
  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) vodka (plain or apple-flavored)
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice (about half a lemon)
  • Ice cubes (large cubes preferred)
  • Optional garnish: thin apple slice, extra caramel drizzle, or cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Fill your glass with ice cubes, almost to the top.
  2. Pour 4 oz (120 ml) apple juice into the glass.
  3. Add 1 oz (30 ml) caramel syrup (it will sink to the bottom).
  4. Pour in 1.5 oz (45 ml) vodka.
  5. Squeeze in 0.5 oz (15 ml) fresh lemon juice, straining out any seeds.
  6. Stir gently with a long spoon for about 10 seconds until combined and the color turns warm golden brown.
  7. Garnish with a thin apple slice, extra caramel drizzle, or a cinnamon stick. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don’t shake the cocktail—stirring keeps it smooth and clear. Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor; bottled lemon juice can taste metallic. For a non-alcoholic version, skip the vodka and add an extra 1.5 oz of apple juice. For a spiced version, add a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg. For a bourbon swap, replace vodka with bourbon. Batch for parties by mixing all liquid ingredients (except ice) in a pitcher and refrigerating up to 24 hours; add fresh lemon juice just before serving.
