These Quick Turkey Cranberry Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls are the perfect way to use up leftover turkey or rotisserie chicken. With a buttery, savory glaze and melty Swiss cheese, they come together in just 15 minutes of active prep time and are always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound cooked turkey, shredded or thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Without separating the individual rolls, carefully slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, and garlic powder. Set aside.
  4. Spread half of the cranberry sauce evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Top with the shredded or sliced turkey, distributing it evenly. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Layer the Swiss cheese slices over the turkey. Spread the remaining cranberry sauce over the cheese.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls over the fillings. Gently press down to compact everything slightly.
  6. Using a pastry brush, generously brush the butter glaze over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil. Bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly around the edges.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the sliders rest for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Use a sharp knife to cut between the individual rolls. Serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature turkey and cheese. Don’t overbake—Hawaiian rolls brown quickly. Let sliders rest for 3 minutes before cutting to prevent cheese from oozing out. For extra flavor, double the glaze and brush half before baking and half after removing the foil.
